TripPass Connect Station bridges the physical event and the digital event experience. Instead of asking attendees to search for an app or locate an old registration email, organizers provide one visible place where attendees can connect, scan, and immediately enter the event.

The station sign

Every station carries a printable 8.5 × 11 sign generated from your own event. Organizers download it from the TripPass organizer portal and drop it into the station's sign holder.

What is in the station

This is not a router in a box. It is the physical gateway to your event experience — but it does hold real equipment, sized to the venue.

Enclosure

Secure and visible

A compact, self-contained enclosure with a sign holder on the front or top, placed where attendees arrive.

Connectivity

Hotspot or cellular router

Wi-Fi hotspot or cellular router, power supply, charging accessories and whatever networking the venue requires. No carrier or router is hard-coded into TripPass.

Reliability

Cellular still works

The QR code points at a secure https event address rather than anything on the local network, so if the station's connection drops attendees can still open the event over their own data.

TripPass shows whether the station is configured, the QR code and event URL are active, and the sign has been generated. It does not monitor router uptime, cellular signal, battery condition or internet availability.

Use it to sell the show

The Connect Station works with the TripPass demo event too. Put the station on a table at a sales meeting or an industry conference, let a prospect scan the demo QR code with their own phone, and they walk a realistic sample show in seconds — no live customer event required. Connect Station questions

What is the TripPass Connect Station?

It is the physical on-site connection point for a TripPass-powered event: a compact station placed at the venue that can house the event's own Wi-Fi hotspot and displays the event QR code with simple connection instructions. Attendees find the station, connect, scan and enter the event on their own phone.

Do attendees need to download an app?

No. Scanning the QR code opens the event in the phone's normal browser. Basic access never requires an App Store download or an account.

What if the station's Wi-Fi goes down?

The QR code points at a normal secure https event address, not at anything on the local network, so attendees can still open the event over their own cellular data whenever they have signal.

What hardware is used?

A secure enclosure holding a Wi-Fi hotspot or cellular router, power supply and any networking gear the venue needs, with a visible sign holder on the front or top. The exact equipment varies by venue and show size — TripPass is not tied to one carrier or router.

Can the sign be customized?

Yes. Organizers control the event name, Wi-Fi network name and password, connection instructions, QR code and event URL, sponsor line and TripPass branding, then download a print-ready 8.5 x 11 sign from the organizer portal.

Can we use it for sales demonstrations?

Yes. Place the station on a table with a demo-event QR code, and a prospect can scan it with their own phone and experience a realistic sample event immediately. Demo environments are labelled TripPass Event Demo.
